Roll over, Roll over!

There were ten in a bed and the little one said, "roll over, roll over"  So they all rolled over and one fell out.

I kept singing this song in my head today - don't worry though, no one fell out in our house.  I should be sleeping but can't, and instead of boring you with the nonsense that is keeping me up, I'll share Luke's exciting news!  He can now roll over from back to belly!  Go Luke!  He doesn't quite remember that he can go from belly to back again, but he'll get there :)  He had been trying so hard lately but would always get stuck on his one arm.  We went to my inlaws on Sunday and he did it!  That's the first place where he rolled from belly to back first too, there's something about that place!

In addition to rolling around he has started playing with Knuckles, well kind of.  It's more like Luke stares at Knuckles, Knuckles plays with Luke but Luke loses his attention before this happens and doesn't realize what is going on.  They'll be good buds some day I'm sure.

And not on the topic of rolling at all, it was Zach's birthday Monday!  I tried to teach Luke the "happy birthday" song.  Not too successful but was all smiles when he hears Mommy sing. Guess the kid has no sense of on key yet, hah.  In order to celebrate Luke and I went and got Daddy cookie cake at the mall and made a hand print, well outline, on his card for him.  I'd say he did pretty good for a 5 month old. The day was followed by a baby-free dinner out with family and then back home to bathe and put the little man to bed.  Good day!

Roll over, roll over .... that is so easy to remain stuck in your head. How cute :-) He is learning new things every day - the simple things of life :-) Can't wait to see him tomorrow!

He probably rolled over to look for Moms from a different angle. :-)

Is he happier during tummy time once he gets there on his own?

He's a bit happier when he puts himself on his tummy. He lasts longer that way but forgets he can roll the other way too, hah.
