5 Months!

Today is 5 months since Luke was born.  Crazy!  Let's see, what has happened.  Luke is starting to talk a ton and by talk I mean make all sorts of crazy noises that in his mind probably make sense.  He is getting really good at the "ma" sound, to his mothers delight of course.  He still dislikes tummy time, hes tried to roll from back to front but gets stuck on one arm every time.  

Daddy taught him to stick out his tongue the other night and he is so proud of being able to do it.  It's the first thing he did when he got up yesterday, kind of like he was showing me he still remembered from the night before, cute.  Only thing is a ton of spit also comes out with the tongue, so he needs some fine tuning there.  His hair is growing back in around the edges and he has a crazy long patch in the middle.  He started to eat oatmeal, veggies are next!  In a few more weeks we'll start switching to formula and hopefully he'll be weaned by about 6 months.  That's the update. 

As for me, I'm in shock that it's already been 5 months.  I'm only a couple of pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight but the shape of my body is still different.  I'm thinking this is the new "normal" for me.  I can get off the last few pounds I'm sure, but I'm thinking my body will never be the same as before.  I probably will get good looking arms though - this kiddo is getting heavy and forcing me to be strong :)
