It's early and I'm awake...something all too familiar during this pregnancy. However, today its because I feel all crappy. Not sure if its the food I ate last night, my anticipation for the next few weeks, or what. I'm watching a staple on TV, or more like the only thing on TV at this hour, Nick at Nite. Knuckles is passed out on the couch next to me, one of the many nights when I envy his sleeping habits.
I find myself analyzing every single feeling lately in hopes that it means labor is coming, however I think I'm just being crazy. Every little uncomfortable feeling I think contraction?, or right now my upset stomach makes me wonder what is happening, and I ask Zach constantly if he thinks the baby "dropped", like I said, I think I'm being crazy :)
It really is crazy though that my pregnancy journey will most likely be over in 2 weeks and we'll be parents. Since the baby could arrive any day now, Zach and I had a date night last night. At first I just wanted a quiet night in, but we mixed it with dinner out first then a movie. Low key, enjoyable, relaxing, and just what we needed. Now if only I could get a few more hours of sleep this morning, this weekend would be great.

Shrek???
Am I slowly turning into Shrek? I look down at my feet and ankles (well what I can see of them) and they keep getting more and more puffy. Actually, I think puffy is an understatement, they are straight up swollen like crazy. I'm afraid they'll turn green soon too! Shoes are completely overrated at this point of pregnancy. As much as I want support when I'm standing all day, my feet are so big that even my sneakers, completely loosened, are tight and uncomfortable, oh my! I'm wondering if there are any happy pregnant ladies at this point of pregnancy or if that is an oxymoron. I feel like myself in some ways but when I open my eyes and actually look at myself I see nothing familiar. Only a few more weeks of body sharing....I can do it!!!

Dun Dun Dun...
...I'm officially at the watermelon stage! Based on my measurements at todays appointment, Baby T is about 6.5 pounds and will most likely be around 7.5 pounds at delivery. I have been more exhausted lately than I ever have been in my life! Carrying around a watermelon all day at work is tough and when I get home I'm spent. Some days it makes me grumpy, other days I'm good, but I know the end is near so it's all good. I keep thinking back to when I desperately wanted my bump to show and now I don't know what I was thinking because its huge and uncomfortable. Crazy how things change. My enzyme levels went down again this week (good job liver!) and my doctor jokingly said "you can make it to 42 weeks now!"....lets just say I wasn't very amused, hah. But my blood pressure is iffy now, it's always something with me...so 39 weeks it is! That means only 2 more weeks, woot! I can't wait! The only downer today was the discussion about my weight, apparently I've gained slightly more than she wanted, but seriously with all of the stress and anxiety I've been through in the past few weeks, I don't know what she expected. Some women say they start eating less because the baby is so big and their stomach gets smaller, well unfortunately for me that never happened. Even with this melon inside of me I still always have an appetite. Giant had a great sale on ice cream yesterday too, so I probably won't be changing my ways this week. The more I think about it, all of the "good" things about pregnancy people tell me about seemed to have skipped right by me....I never ate less, I have zero nesting instinct and our house is a mess, I don't feel as if I have a glow at all instead just acne like I'm 13 again. Oh well, I'd do it all again! I feel like there was more important info to share, but my memory sucks lately too...all of my memory, smarts, and good looks are going straight to Baby T, I'm sure of it :)

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
There are some major advantages to being pregnant.
1. I can eat ice cream at night and not feel guilty about it! Tonight I finished up the mint chocolate chip, delicious.
2. I have a place to rest my bowl while I eat! I totally use my belly as a shelf while enjoying the ice cream. It's perfect and super convenient. It's the simple things that amuse me. Zach keeps waiting for the baby to kick while something is there but Baby T cooperates, he must love the ice cream too.
Only a few more weeks of having my shelf and being able to eat ice cream several nights a week, so I'm going to indulge and enjoy every part of it. After the ice cream, I watch the belly show and life is good! There are a few things I will miss after Baby T arrives :)

Making Waves
One of my favorite things to do at night is sit and watch the baby moving. He's a maniac in there at night, especially when I'm ready for bed. Since space is getting tight you can see almost every little movement from the outside. I spend a lot of my nights starring at my belly (its okay if you think I'm weird). Last night he stuck his butt out and there was a nice round lump in my bump. I still can't feel his head on my own, but the doctor found it yesterday still down (yay!). As I type this there are "waves" happening with my belly, he seems like a happy camper in there. Speaking of being a happy camper, my doctor told me yesterday that there is zero progress towards labor, so he really must want to stay put, hah. It's still early though, so let's hope he starts to cooperate soon so induction will go a little smoother :) For now I'll enjoy the movement and the show each night.
Update on tests: Enzymes went below 200 this week which is incredibly awesome and still waiting on the rest of the results. My doctor still thinks I'll be good until 39 weeks, woohoo!

It's not always rainbows and butterflies.
Some days are just hard to get through. My emotional roller coaster took another loop or two today and to make a long story short, three more tests were ordered today on top of my daily Monday check. What does it all mean? Not sure but I have another doctors appointment tomorrow right after work and then another stop at the lab on Wednesday morning to finish up testing. I swear I can't have much blood left. On the bright side, I had a really good lady draw my blood today. She had done it before and shes probably the best one there! No pain and hardly a mark on my arm, go her! I think I could complain for hours at this point but what good would it do me. I really am very grateful to be pregnant and can't wait to be a mommy real soon. It seems as though through all of this the baby is fine so I guess in the end I just need to suck it up.
